Tasmania is a wonderful showcase of Australia’s natural, built and cultural heritage. This National Trust Way tour explores Australia’s smallest state with visits to colonial and National Trust properties included.
Flying into Launceston and out of Hobart, ten days are spent exploring the state famous for its fine food and breathtaking landscapes. Launceston includes time spent in the Tamar Valley, together with the historic villages and homes of the Evandale and Longford area. The tour then heads west to the coastal town of Strahan including a cruise down the Gordon River and an amazing ride on the West Coast Wilderness railway. The final destination is Hobart to include Salamanca Markets (one of Australia’s most vibrant and loved market) and the Museum of Old and New Art; a mix of ancient antiquities among contemporary artworks.
