Itinerary

You’ll be met on arrival at Perth Airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore Perth at your leisure. Perhaps explore nearby Kings Park Botanic Garden and take in the panoramic views over the city or spend time in Fremantle and check out the many microbreweries and restaurants. Alternatively, spend your afternoon indulging in some retail therapy by heading to the Hay and Murray Street malls. Tonight, meet your Tour Leader and fellow travellers for a welcome drink at Samuels Bar.


Overnight: Parmelia Hilton Perth

Enjoy an early breakfast, before embarking on an epicurean adventure to Margaret River, known for its world-class wineries, rugged coastline and culinary delights. The journey begins with a scenic drive through the seaside town of Mandurah. Visit Tods Café, overlooking the estuary where you may encounter Mandurah's famous dolphins. Next, head to Busselton and take a ride on the iconic Busselton jetty train travelling 1.8 km across the sparkling waters of Geographe Bay. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch at The Goose, situated right on the foreshore with uninterrupted views of Geographe Bay and the Busselton Jetty. This afternoon, visit Aravina Estate, one of the region’s most beautiful vineyards boasting sprawling gardens with vibrant hydrangeas and breathtaking views. Delight in a tasting at the cellar door before wandering through the first ever official Western Australian surfing museum. Continue to Cape Lodge, a luxury country estate set on 40 acres of beautifully manicured gardens and ornamental lakes. Later, enjoy a pre-dinner drink and then partake in a three-course set menu, at the coveted Cape Lodge restaurant. The ingredient-driven menu is seasonally curated, using the finest produce from the on-site kitchen garden and neighbouring farms.

Rugged coastlines, gigantic limestone caves and towering forests are waiting to be explored today. Journey south and descend into the depths of the ancient Mammoth Cave and see the vast chambers to uncover the secrets of the prehistoric giants that once roamed the South West. Journey through the towering Karri trees of Boranup Forest before walking along the shoreline of Hamelin Bay, famous for the many stingrays that frequent the bay. Arrive in Augusta for a relaxing lunch at the Colour Patch, perched on the edge of the stunning Blackwood River. Feast on fresh local fare as you take in the unbeatable views. After lunch, head to the historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and take in the glorious views where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. Stop at Rare Foods Australia, a world class abalone facility and sample the highly sought after Greenlip abalone. Be treated to a cellar door tasting at Subsea Estate, the Southern Hemisphere’s first Open Ocean winery. Gain insight into this dynamic winemaking process as you taste these ocean-influenced wines. This evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner at the Cape Lodge restaurant.

After breakfast, journey along the Yallingup coastline and stop at Canal Rocks. See the thundering water crashing through the 600-millionyear- old granite rock formations. Stop at Vasse Virgin and sample the sensational gourmet olive oil range. Next, head to Vasse Felix, the region’s oldest vineyard, for the ultimate Margaret River wine experience. Delve into the Estate's fascinating history before partaking in a tutored tasting of their wines. Enjoy an exquisite three course lunch overlooking the vines. This afternoon, journey back to Perth and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Enjoy breakfast before heading to Swan Valley, Western Australia’s oldest wine region. Just a 30 minute drive from Perth, this iconic wine region boasts a rich heritage, award-winning wines and gourmet delights, including olives, cheeses and chocolate. Arrive at Mandoon Estate where you will learn about local indigenous food and culture from a Noongar Elder. Taste some traditional bush food and listen to stories from decades past about indigenous farming methods and the history of the Noongar people. Afterwards, settle in for a fine dining experience at Wild Swan, where you will indulge in a modern and innovative four-course lunch paired with Mandoon Estate wines. After lunch, head to the cellar door for an exquisite wine and macaron pairing experience. Each wine has been carefully selected to complement the unique flavours of its paired macaron. Return to Perth and for an evening at leisure.
